The Mission of Saint Therese of Avila is located in Andode, in Angar Guten valley. It is the first mission of the Missionary Community of Saint Paul the Apostle in Ethiopia. In a highland hill surrounded by mountains and close to a humble village, it comprises a vast natural richness with a fertile land surrounded by a river. With two dams built within the mission compound it is possible to produce food during the entire year.
Andode Mission

With two dams built within the mission compound it is possible to produce food during the entire year.
The water of the dams makes possible to irrigate the vegetable garden and the fruit trees. The sweet fruits are a delight for the children in the different centres and supply them with the necessary vitamins for a healthy growth. In the mission of St. Therese of Avila in Andode it has been also possible to produce enough cereals to feed the neighbours of the mission.
The mission is also the centre for the wide health project that the MCSPA has in the area of Angar Guten.
