The presence of the Missionary Community of St. Paul the Apostle in Colombia dates back to 1998, in the Archdiocese of Bogota. For several years it carried out intense work in communities on the outskirts of Bogota, in areas that were marginalized and impoverished by the internal displacement suffered by various groups on the margins of the law.
Since 2007 the Community has maintained a semi-permanent presence and focused its efforts on bridging very different realities between Kenya and Colombia, encouraging young people to leave their borders and follow a vocation of service to the poorest among the poor. According to the report published by the United Nations on the Human Development Index the countries with the greatest need are in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The special love for Africa of the MCSPA missionaries impels them to make young people aware of the historical, social, cultural and religious reality of this beautiful continent, especially in Latin America where it is so unknown.
Another of the efforts has been directed at creating bonds of solidarity in a concrete way between Colombia and Kenya, the result of which is the realization of a charity event every year in which friends and benefactors participate, making it possible to maintain some of the Mother and Child Centres that MCSPA has in the area of Kokuselei.
